Riese & Müller Superdelite5 Vario 2027 – maximum range with seamless control

The Superdelite5 Vario is Riese & Müller’s flagship long-distance full-suspension e-bike. Its integrated 1,200Wh DualBattery, Bosch Performance Line CX drive and Control Technology chassis are designed for ambitious touring, demanding daily mileage and mixed-surface riding without making comfort an afterthought.

Two integrated batteries for genuinely long days

A 400Wh Bosch CompactTube and 800Wh Bosch PowerTube work as one 1,200Wh Smart System battery. Both are integrated neatly into the frame and charge through the bike’s charging port. A practical planning range is approximately 70–120 miles, but that is an estimate rather than a guarantee: hills, total load, temperature, tyre pressure, wind, surface and support mode all have a major effect.

Bosch CX power, with the current Performance Upgrade

The latest Bosch Performance Line CX Smart System provides natural, responsive support and can deliver up to 120Nm after Bosch’s free Performance Upgrade 2.0. A new bike may arrive with a lower factory setting until the update and permitted settings are applied. Assistance is limited to 15.5mph for normal UK EAPC use. The Kiox 500 display presents navigation and ride data clearly, while the Purion 200 keeps the controls close to your thumb.

Control Technology full suspension

A Fox AWL 34 air fork provides 120mm of travel and the Fox Float Rhythm rear shock gives 110mm of effective movement. Riese & Müller’s active rear swingarm also suspends the carrier, helping the bike and luggage remain composed over rough lanes, towpaths and broken urban surfaces. The X-Fusion Manic dropper post lets you lower the saddle quickly at junctions, on descents or when mounting and dismounting.

Clean, quiet Enviolo and Gates transmission

The Enviolo Utility V1 hub changes ratio continuously through a simple twist control, so there are no fixed gear steps to find. It is paired with a Gates CDX carbon belt for clean, quiet and exceptionally low-maintenance everyday use. This combination is particularly well suited to high-mileage riders who want intuitive shifting and fewer exposed drivetrain parts.

Lighting, braking and security for all-season use

The Supernova M99 Mini Pro-25 adds a powerful main-beam function, while the integrated Supernova TL3 Pro rear light includes a brake light. Tektro TRP HD-EU835 hydraulic disc brakes are fitted as standard; Bosch eBike ABS with Magura MT C ABS brakes is a £369 factory option. An ABUS Granit XPlus frame lock, 130cm adapter chain and storage bag are included.

Touring equipment fitted from the start

The co-sprung 27kg rear carrier, Curana mudguards, stable Ursus stand, air-suspension pump and wide Schwalbe Super Moto-X tyres make the bike ready for serious use. The integrated RX Chip supports location, motion alarm and ride logging through RX Connect after registration and service activation. ConnectRide Free is available for the first year; continued connected services may require a paid plan.

Colours and sizing

Available in Moss and Shadow, with M, L and XL frame sizes. Riese & Müller recommends M for approximately 1.70–1.80m, L for 1.75–1.90m and XL for 1.80–2.00m. Rider fit also depends on proportions and preference, so a test ride is recommended.
